INSPIRATION CENTRE

Inspiration Center is a para-church organization that acknowledges the God-given value of every child, youth and the most vulnerable members of our community. Inspiration Centre is located in the sprawling slum of Mathare in Nairobi, Kenya opposite Moi AirBase on Juja road.

OUR COMMUNITY

Mathare is a densely populated area with over 500,000 people 60% of this population being children under the age of 18 years. Prostitution, illiteracy, drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, and gangs are some of the common challenges facing the community. 95% of the residents in Mathare live on less than 2 dollars per day. Basic needs such as food, shelter, clothes, education, security and health services are hard to come by.

Despite all the challenges, the Mathare children are talented, have big dreams, and are very bright academically. It is with this hope in mind that Inspirations Centre was formed in 2007. Our main focuses are education, mentor-ship, job creation and empowerment through Christian values.
