THE 3 STRAND CORD

Doctrinal Statement

We believe in the verbal inspiration, inerrancy, and plenary authority of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and that it is the only rule of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and baptism, occurring at the moment of salvation, the Christian is enabled to live a godly life through the Holy Spirit's continual filling (control) as a result of obedience to the Word. Every Spirit-filled Christian will demonstrate the fruit of the Holy Spirit and utilize his spiritual gifts under submission to the church leaders according to Biblical principles. (John 14:21, 16:7-8; I Corinthians 1:7, 12:13, 14:22, 32:40; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:18; I Peter 4:10).
