Jon is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for CORD International. As an MK and third-generation missionary he has spent the majority of his life overseas. He grew up on the mission field in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and the UAE. He is a graduate of George Fox University with a master’s degree from Portland State University. He and his wife, Sharla, were married in June 2000. After working as a guitar professor and worship leader, he and his young family answered the Lord’s call to serve as a missionary in Thailand in 2006, where his relationship with the Family Connection Foundation ultimately began. He served in many leadership roles during his 13 years as a missionary in Thailand. Jon accepted this new position at CORD in early 2019 and is excited to serve CORD missionaries around the world. He and his family have recently relocated stateside, and for the first time in many years, Jon and his family are now located stateside in Trout Lake, Washington.
