Nick and Sara Windschitl brought their family to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2019 for a 2-year overseas adventure. After teaching in the U.S. for 15+ years, they were ready for a new experience and change of pace. They started out teaching at an international school in Chiang Mai when the pandemic hit, and they were forced to change their plans. God opened doors for them to open a Kindergarten in Chiang Mai. The Nest International School has now expanded to include preschool through second grades, and has served more than 200 children from 8+ countries in it’s short 3 years of existence. God has continued to shift the purpose of this little school, whose student body is now largely comprised of families doing a variety of mission work in Chiang Mai. Sara is teaching at Grace International School, whose primary purpose is to provide a high-quality, affordable education to children of international Christian workers located in SE Asia. The work that Nick and Sara do at The Nest International School and Grace International School allows these families to remain in SE Asia providing a variety of ministries and relief work in the region, due to their children’s educational needs being met. Nick and Sara are passionate about teaching and learning, and are grateful for the calling to use their gifts in this way.
